Teachers Corner: Parents please ensure that you and your scholar are checking and completing assignments on their agenda every night including weekends. We will continue to assign infractions, once 3 of the same kind of infractions have been accumulated they will miss their house meeting on Friday. We will also continue to work with your scholar on rules, procedures, expectations, transitions, and opening their locker. 

Math: Scholars will continue with Unit 7 learning about fractions. This week we will have a quiz on Friday 11/22

Science: Scholars will continue their unit on Energy and begin learning about light on Thursday, 11/14. They will receive their Unit Study Guide/Review on 11/13. It is due 11/20 in preparation for the test on 11/21.

History: This week the scholars will be learning about Ignatius of Loyola and about the Catholic counter reformation. Then, the scholars will be learning about the Tudor era of English History, about Queen Elizabeth and Bloody Mary. Scholars will be completing their Reformation Newspaper assignment and turning it in on Tuesday (11/19). Scholars will be given time in class to work on the Ignatius of Loyola Story Board on Monday (11/18). This will be due by 11/20. Lastly, scholars will complete the Tudor family tree handout in class on Thursday. If this is not completed in class, it will become homework to be turned in on Friday (11/22). All of these assignments are for History grades. Scholars may need support with keeping track of these assignments. Thus, please review the scholars’ agendas with them to ensure they are completing these assignments in a timely manner.

Literature: Scholars will be nearly finishing our read of The Secret Garden. Parents can prepare for next week by ordering the next classic which we will be reading, The Phantom Tollbooth (ISBN: 9780394820378).

Writing: Scholars will begin finalizing their Leonardo DaVinci Papers due 11/22

  Teachers Corner: Parents this week we will start  real  infractions  on 9/3/2024  We will also continue to work with your scholar on rules, procedures, expectations, transitions, and opening their locker.  Math:  Students will learn how to estimate decimals and use mental math to add and subtract decimals. Science:    S cholars will discover important details about space exploration and other elements of space like galaxies, black holes and comets. History: This week the scholars will continue their unit on the Meso-American tribes (Maya, Inca, and Aztec).
